Dr. Fahim Nawaz is an applied economist who currently works as a Lecturer at the Department of Economics, University of Peshawar in Pakistan. He completed a Ph.D. in Economics at the Technical University Dresden, Germany in November 2022.

He has over 08 years of experience in teaching undergrad and graduate courses at the university level. He supervises several undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in their theses/dissertations.

His key skills and expertise include survey design, survey implementation, data cleaning/preparation, and performing statistical/econometric analyses. He has published a number of studies in national and international journals. In addition, he has presented his research work at numerous national and international conferences.

His areas of research expertise include radicalization and violent extremism. His current research focuses on the economy, society, militancy, conflict, peacebuilding, post-conflict migrations, resilience, vulnerability, and ethnic movements in the Pashtun regions, primarily the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan including its newly merged districts, and Afghanistan.

He is passionate about creating data literacy among the masses at large along with working on socioeconomic issues of local, national, and international relevance. He is looking to bring his expertise in data, behavioral economics, radicalization, and violent extremism to solve social, economic, behavioral, and development puzzles.
